Reilun kuukauden kestänyt kuvaustauko on osaltani ohi! On aika palata normaalirytmiin myös viikon kuvan merkeissä.

Viikon kuva syntyi kotiparvekkeelta. Helsingin lähiympäristössä pesineet valkoposkihanhet kerääntyvät poikasineen syksyisin isoiksi parviksi ruokailemaan lähiseudun nurmikoille ja pelloille. Yöpymään ne suuntaavat helsingin edustan ulkoluodoille hämärän jo laskeuduttua. Aamulla paluu tapahtuu auringon nousun aikoihin. Lintujen paluureitti on muutaman aamuna sattunut menemään aivan parvekkeeni vieritse. taustalla meri ja siitä heijastuva aamutaivas.

My month-long break in shooting has come to an end! It is also time to start producing the weekly pictures again.

This week's photo is taken from my balcony. Barnacle Geese that have been nesting in and around Helsinki now all get together with their young ones, forming big flocks, and feed on the nearby fields and lawns. At dusk they head out to sea to overnight on the rocks and islets in front of Helsinki, and return at dawn. For the past couple of mornings their route has conveniently passed my balcony. The sea is in the background, reflecting the morning sky.
