Täksi sunnuntaiksi luvattiin pitkästä aikaa aurinkoista keliä etelärannikolle. Ajattelin, että kelin vaihdos innostaisi petolintuja muuttomatkalle ja lähdin päiväretkelle Hanko-niemen kärkeen Haliaksen lintuasemalle. Joitakin mukavia varpushaukka- ja mehiläishaukkatilanteita syntyikin, mutta petolintujen muutto oli keliin nähden varsin vaatimatonta.

For the first time in a while the forecast promised sunny weather round the south coast for this weekend. I thought that the change in the weather would encourage raptors to migrate and decided to make a daytrip to the Halias bird station in Hanko peninsula. And there were some nice occasions with Sparrowhawk and Honey buzzard but all in all the raptor migration was very modest.

However, small birds were active and there were a couple of good shooting situations. Song Thrush is flying in this week's photo.
