Alkuviikko meni työskennellessä toimistolla lintumessujen valmistelussa ja loppuviikko taas Englannissa. Toki kamera on mukana Englannissa, mutta lintumessut ovat senverran vaativat, että kuvien ottaminen jäänee vähemmälle? Tosin ensi viikolla kameralla voi taas olla käyttöä kun käymme risteilyllä Biskajanlahdella. Jospa sieltä tarttuisi vaikka joku valtamerilintu kennolle asti?

Valitsin ennakolta viikon kuvaksi viime lauantain Oulun sorsakeikalla kuvaamani kesyn nuoren harakan. Kuvassa lintu on juuri painautunut kannolle ja nostaa pyrstöään juuri ennen ulostamista... Vaikka harakka onkin yleinen jokapaikan laji, niin se ei kuitenkaan ole maailman helpoimmin kuvattavassa! v

First part of the week I have been at the office preparing myself for the British Birdwatching Fair, which will be hold next weekend in England. I will carry my camera there, but I doubt that there will be any new images for this week? However next week I´m hoping to get some images of seabirds, since we are going to have a cruise to the Bay of Biscay!

So this week image I decided to put out earlier than normally and I chose Magpie, which I phohographed last Saturday in Oulu. Althought Magpie is very common species, it is not easy to photograph, since they often are quite timid. However this young bird was exceptionally approachable.
