Koko viikko kului toimistotöissä joten kameraa en juuri ehtinyt ulkoiluttamaan! Kuvausvalmisteluja tosin ehdin hieman tehdä; mm. Toppisen Erkin kanssa vietiin koju perinteiselle kurkipellolle ja lisäksi viritin lintujen ruokintapaikan uuden toimiston takapihalle. Sunnuntaina sitten tein viikon kuvan toivossa parin tunnin kävelyretken Liminganlahden maisemiin, mutta kennolle ei tarttunut muita kuvia kuin jokunen suruvaippa.

Toimiston pihalle kurvatessani iltapäivällä huomasin lähitalon antennilla kaksi turkinkyyhkyä. Aurinko paistoi komeasti ja taivas oli sinisempi kuin koko kesänä. Hetken odottelun jälkeen kyyhkyt pölähtivätkin siivet lätisten lentoon ja ehdin nappaamaan toisesta ihan kelpo lentopotretin. Tällä kertaa viikon kuvan valinta oli helppo...

This week I have been mainly at the office. However I have managed to do some preparations for coming weeks; e.g. with my friend Erkki Toppinen we placed a hide in field where Cranes usually gather in autumn and I also prepared feeding site at the garden of my new office. On Sunday I noticed that I didn´t have any suitable photos as image of the week, so I had few hours walk in Liminganlahti wetland. Despite the beautiful weather only thing what I photographed during the walk were Camberwell beauty butterflies. There were actually quite a few of them!

When I returned to the office I noticed two Collared Doves on antenna. Collared Dove is actually quite scarce species in Finland and my homevillage Liminka is probably one of the best places for it. Sun was shining beautifully and sky was deep blue in colour and after short wait birds flew off and I managed to get adequate flight shot. This time it was easy to pick out the photo of the week...
