Suomi on Siperiaa! Kulunut viikko oli synkkä ja sateinen. Vaikka Oulun ja Hesan välillä lentokoneesta käsin totesin auringon olevan taivaalla, niin paksu pilvikerros esti tehokkaasti valon pääsyn maan pinnalle asti. Siispä uusia kuvia ei tällä viikolla syntynyt, vaikka kohteita olisi ollutkin liikkeellä.

Hyviä uutisia kantautui Kemilän Eeron kanssa aloittamaltamme kotkanruokintapaikalta, sillä vanha kotka oli istuskellut puussa aivan ruokintapaikan ja kojun vieressä! Joten eiköhän taas tänä talvena päästä kuvaamaan kotkia? Oheisessa noin vuosi sitten otetussa kuvassa "kotka suutelee kettua" ;) Kyseessä lienee harvemmin dokumentoitu tapahtuma?

Finland is northern country and actually part of Siberia! It means that this time of the year days are pretty short and often weather is quite poor as well. This week has been just dark and rainy, so I haven´t been able to take any new photos! Althought there would have been plenty of birds around; thousands of Waxwings, many Hawk Owls, hundreds of Whooper Swans etc.

However, I received good news from our new Golden Eagle feeding station that Eagles have been visiting the site already! So there will be good chances to take pictures of eagles later this winter! Please don´t hesitate to contact me if you would like to come to photograph the eagles! This week´s image is taken about one year ago and it shows quite rare behaviour; Golden Eagle is kissing Red Fox ;)
